Registration Information
The 2014 Battle of Dry Creek Re-enactment will be held on August 16 and 17, 2014. The event will be held at the Greenbrier State Forest off of Exit 175, Interstate 64.A Tactical will be held on Saturday morning with Infantry, Calvary and Artillery participating. Later that afternoon at 1:30 p.m., a "live fire" cannon target competition will take place. At 5:00 p.m., dinner will be provided for all pre-registered re-enactors, followed by a Dance/Concert from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., so ladies bring your dresses. A night firing of the cannons will occur at 8:30 p.m. The re-enactment of the Battle of Dry Creek will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday Morning and will be narrated by Captain Tim Boggs. THERE IS NO COST FOR SPECTATORS. The camps will open to the public Saturday all day, including the Live Fire, the Skirmish, the Dance/Concert and the Night Firing. Camps will open to the public on Sunday at 10:30 am and will remain open through the battle.

Sutlers are invited be on site selling reproduction and hand-made crafts, period clothing and other items from the 1860's. The event committee will not charge any sutler fees, however there is a nominal fee required by the West Virginia Park Service.

Pre-Registration (received before July 1, 2014) will be $5.00 per re-enactor which increases to $10.00 after that date and for walk-ons. Children under 12 years of age are free. Powder bounties of $100.00 will be paid to the first 5 artillery Batteries to register. BECAUSE WE HAVE TO PROVIDE THE VENDER WITH A COUNT OF THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE EATING DINNER SATURDAY EVENING, ONLY THOSE FROM WHOM WE HAVE RECEIVED PRE-REGISTRATIONS BEFORE AUGUST 1, 2013 WILL RECEIVE THE FREE MEAL.

Registered re-enactors (military and civilian) will have access to free showers and free use of the Park's swimming pool. Hay (for calvary), wood and water will be provided.
